Bio//

Lavinia Cometti (IT, 1986) currently lives and works in Milan.

She studied the Yogic Science in India, at the Tattva Yoga Shala in Rishikesh (600 hours) and in New York, at Dharma yoga Center (500 hours). Other studies in Amsterdam and Berlin at Yoga Makes and at Verbania at Healing Meditation Center for many years, to deepen the practice of Meditation.

She has studied 2 years of music composition for the image at the Civic School of Music Claudio Abbado, soundscapist and inclined to the spatial research of sound, she has partecipate at workshop with the Acusmonium, at San Fedele (Milano) and Acusmonium Mobile with Dante Tanzi.

Artistic body performer "on the field" in the expressive body, as well as a teacher of the yogic discipline and meditative techniques with the desire to be able to transfer the yogic poetics in avant-garde compositions aimed at developing the proprioception of sound in space and in the body.

She is half of the artist trio ,Cometti-Sechi- Nono  whose Music work explores the self-devised notion of Sound-Visions. Connecting the language of Sound with the practice of Visions in the Meditative State, the artist duo aims to foster a poetic reflection of “the way of beauty” and of “the ecstatic experience” that we live through the act of seeing, wandering and diving into any possible sound-dreamscape, to evoke other possibilities of experience.

Lavinia focuses on shaping experiential conditions for herself and the Other, aiming to the encounter and transformation of both parts, through quests into memory and future visions. This research materialises without restriction of media and aims to create symbolic universes capable of containing the experience of dreaming as a whole.

Thus, hes work includes body performance, sound performance, compositions, photography, art direction, acusmonium performance, and celebration.
